Hi guys, I finally got my hands on a decent camera to start documenting my first build a little better. Honestly, a year ago, I didn't know what lutherie was. I just had this idea for a guitar in my head. It's all just dry-fit together right now. The last major piece I need to fabricate is the tailpiece.    |

It is a Gitolin. What's the matter with you Red? Or maybe it is a Gitola, or a Gitello. It's too small to be a Git**s!   It looks great Dave. Sorry about the abuse above. It'll be jacked way up from the soundboard like a cello. I have to re-do that bridge though after studying some more about cello bridges. Cello bridges have a whole other thing going on. |

Typically it is a lot easier to do this before you tapper, radius and glue to the neck No criticism just something for future reference on that stand up mandolin you are planning next

I wonder what a double-octave mando would sound like? You might have something there. |
